Sales Associate

Full Time Permanent Position

Reports to Sales Manager

Compensation: annual salary commensurate with experience and industry standards, including three weeks paid vacation and statutory holidays.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist customers in store by determining their needs and suggesting the correct products and solutions
  • Answer phones, and respond to emails, voicemails, and other customer inquiries.
  • Help with store cleanliness and making sure products are displayed properly.
  • Restock shelves.
  • Fulfill online and phone orders.
  • Participate in store opening and closing duties as required or assigned by Sales Manager.
  • Report problems and complaints to the Sales Manager.
  • Take on additional responsibilities assigned by the Sales Manager or in the Sales Manger's absence.

Qualifications:
  • Strong boating knowledge including sailboat hardware and rigging; marine electrical, engine, and plumbing systems; marine electronics; docking and mooring; boat repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to work a regular full-time schedule that will include some evenings and Saturdays as required.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good customer service skills.
